Texas A&M’s MPSA program is designed to develop future effective and ethical leaders in the government, public and nonprofit sectors. This two-year, 48 credit hour program focuses on knowledge and skills in management, leadership, policy, analysis, and research methods. This MPSA program consists of common core courses, elective courses, a summer internship, and a year-long capstone project. MPSA students can choose between a Public Management Track, Nonprofit Management Track, or a Public Policy Analysis Track and multiple elective concentrations. Core courses within this program includes: Economic Analysis, Quantitative Methods, Public Policy Formation, Game Theory, Public Finance, Public Management, and Nonprofit Management.

The University of Maryland’s School of Public Policy offers students multiple degree programs for future public service leaders, a Master of Public Management, a Master of Professional Studies – Public Administration, and an Executive Master of Public Management.
The 36 credit hour Master of Public Management program is designed for students with at least five years of relevant professional experience who desire additional training in analyzing, designing, evaluating, and advocating for public policies. The curriculum consists of core classes and elective specialization courses. The 36 credit hour Master of Professional Studies-Public Administration program is designed for students interested in public administration and government management with an international perspective. The curriculum includes foundational courses, organizational site visits, guest lectures, internships, and social events. The 30 credit hour Executive Master of Public Management requires students to have at least five years of relevant professional experience, and is designed to provide the public service professional with a rich understanding of organizational and political processes and sophisticated management issues.
